I am interested in building a large format plotter/cutter like the Carlson machine in the video below. This is driven by my interest in constructing clothing and tensile structures.
Below is the documentation of an early attempt to build a machine similar to the Carlson plotter above. I didn't have the resources to finish the build, and I've since found ways to pursue some of the same goals without needing to first build a big, expensive machine.
